This note is listed in the census as UNC but it's not, yet it must be the second finest known. Pen signatures of Albert Field, President and E. Rodee, Cashier. The village of Prophetstown began with a pair of mills in the mid-1840s, with little growth until several railroad ventures began surveying and buying land in the area. Prophetstown saw its first train arrive in May of 1871.
