There have been very few appearances of this bank even though there are 11 large notes recorded. This gorgeous pen signed beauty will no doubt thrill its new owner. Effingham is the county seat of Effingham County. Effingham was first settled in 1814, and was known from then until 1859 as Broughton. It would appear to take its name from Effingham, Surrey in the UK. On April 4, 1949, St. Anthony's hospital caught fire and burned to the ground, killing 74 people. As a result, fire codes nationwide were improved. Effingham is historically important as a rail junction.
