Lot #1507 - Polo, Exchange NB, 1806

National Bank Notes > Illinois

Polo, Exchange NB, 1806
Fr. 399 $5 Original
Grade: VF/XF
This is the sixth $5 First Charter reported from this bank that now has 13 large notes reported. Excellent pen signatures but the lower left corner tip has come off. Polo sprang to life near the early settlement of Buffalo Grove with the arrival of the Illinois Central Railroad in 1852. The rail line and new town of Polo were close enough that the residents of Buffalo Grove, nearly 1,000 at that point, largely relocated.
Current Bid: $ 2,500.00

Estimate: ($ 2,000.00 - $ 4,000.00)
