This fresh example of the bank's first title is one of four about this quality. The pen signatures are clear and complicated. Edwardsville is the third oldest city in Illinois, dating its first incorporation to 1818. It is named for Ninian Edwards, territorial governor of Illinois at the time and friend of one of the original settlers.
