This bank was chartered in 1919 and printed 2,154 sheets of $10-10-10-20s. This note is very nice looking with good paper quality and ultimate rarity. Signed by G. R. Catlett, President and Shirley T. Cattlett, Cashier. Fairmount was founded by Josiah Hunt, a railroad engineer who purchased the land ahead of the arrival of the Great Western Railroad, possibly with inside information. It was incorporated in 1863 and, although attempts at coal mining were unsuccessful, limestone quarries at one time employed over 400 people.
