This was the town's third and last national bank and was in business from 1894 to 1930. Maybe there were too many Weedmans by then. This note has wonderful quality and penned black signatures. One of only 13 large notes reported. Farmer City has had several names, finally deciding on Farmer City in 1869, over forty years after its initial settlement. Railroads arrived shortly after, securing the town s continued success.
