For years, this $5 was the only serial #1 note recorded on this bank. Then, in 2004, descendents of the bank's founders auctioned a $5 Brownback from the first sheet. While I don't expect this note to exceed the $10,925 the Brownback received, this note from the first sheet of Plainbacks should sell well. Note that the $10 and $20 Plainback sheets continued their serial numbers from the Datebacks, so there are no $10 or $20 Plainback #1s possible. Excellent pen signatures, but the folds are a little heavy.
