This is one of the most attractive $5 Brownbacks on the state. The "Old West Saloon" style of layout it employs is a favorite among collectors. Only two other notes like it are recorded on the bank, with the most recent one selling in the 2006 Power Collection for nearly $4,900. The paper quality is fantastic, bright and fully embossed with only a small toned corner tip. Excellent pen signatures of E.A. Gowran, President and Wm. M. Edwards, Cashier adorn this full margined example.
