This note last appeared in the 1999 PCDA sale after being part of the Frank Levitan Collection, where it was described as: This is an extremely rare type that has just nine notes reported and only two of those notes are institutionalized. For years this was thought to be the rarest of the legal tender $100 issues. Unfortunately, we were wrong, as the Fr. 175 has only two reported. This note does have several folds, but it is very fresh. Excellent paper quality and beautiful color. The bottom margin is a little close but completely free from the design, both front and back." This note does have a few small pinholes.
