The 1875 series $100 legal tender is a classic rarity and one of only three examples known in private collections. This note is pleasing and problem free, but with the wide ranging appearance of VF, this example is on the lower, not the higher side of the grade. As I said, it is pleasing and problem free. The other two notes known sound quite similar in grade to this note. The opportunity is key to obtaining a rarity like this with only three notes reported. It could be a long time before another is available.
