$500 1928 A Boston A-A DGS
Grade: PCGS XF 45     PCGS
This Boston $500 is considered the key to the 1928 Series set. It was virtually unheard of prior to 2005, and was so rare that even the Taylor Family Collection, auctioned in early 2005, failed to contain a specimen. Since then however, a few pieces have surfaced and we have been fortunate to have more than our share. This example is perfectly graded with only a hint of a centerfold detectable. The margins are large and the colors bold and bright. There are some CU notes that don't have the eye-appeal this note has! The current Schwartz/Lindquist reference gives a value of $10,000 in VF, but no prices at all for anything better. Certainly one of the finest examples extant.
Current Bid: $ 6,000.00

Estimate: ($ 10,000.00 - $ 20,000.00)
