Here is a note that has been off the market for some three years, since it appeared by Kagin's in 1973. Little did we know at that time that this is one of the rarest of all signature combinations. There are only three in private hands and two held by Federal Reserve Banks. We sold the finest known for $80,500 in our August 2005 sale of the Great Lakes Collection. Now we have this lovely AU that has some handling and a couple of minor half-folds, but no significant creases. The color and centering are excellent and the paper quality is quite nice. It is a very attractive and desirable note. The third example was an About Fine that realized nearly $20,000 decade ago. This note is a collector's treasure that will surely make its new owner proud.
