The Saint Nicholas Bank $2 Santa Claus note is among the rarest and most elusive of all issues of Santa Claus notes. Previously the only known example was in the collection at the Smithsonian Institute. This example is on India paper, mounted on card with an additional album page behind. Without a doubt the most important single Obsolete in the collection. The other vignette is that of Peter Stuyvesant, a Dutch governor who arrived in New Amsterdam (now New York) in 1647.
