A true Michigan rarity from a bank that was chartered in 1871 and liquidated by 1891, after issuing $1, $2, $5, $10 and $20s. Four notes are known to have survived. This is a decent, evenly circulated example with a slight stain near the tombstone. Clear pen signatures of D. Cutler, President and Geo. Stickney, Cashier. Only two of the four known notes have ever appeared publicly. From the Louis Van Belkum Collection.
