Fr. 1021b $50 1914RS Kansas City
Grade:
PMG VF 25
The Kansas City district rivals Boston when it comes to rarity. About the same number of notes are reported for both types (nine for Kansas City and eight for Boston) with buying opportunities few and far between. As a matter of fact, this very note was last auctioned in 1998 and has not really been available since, nor has any other note on this 'b' type. Thomas Flynn had a Fr. 1021a, but it was only a PMG 8 and it brought $17,250 when his collection sold. We must leave it to this current generation of collectors to set the level on this rarity, but I can't imagine this compelling PMG VF 25 would not bring a strong price.
