$125 Armed Forces Leave Bond January 1946
Grade:
XF/AU
The consignor of this item tells us that it is just one of four he has ever seen and the first to come with the original envelope. Litho printed by the BEP with the portrait of Carter Glass, the very same Carter Glass whom, in 1913, introduced a piece of legislation known as the Currency Bill (H.R. 7837), or more commonly known as the Federal Reserve Act. Lot includes an uncashed U.S. Treasury Draft made payable to the same person and which was drawn for Armed Forces Leave. An historical item that is hard to estimate.
