There are only a few $20 California Gold Bank Notes in existence, I believe right around 200. Needless to say, this example is closer to the worst than the best. It has been restored and it's solid but very thin from wear. These $20s are definitely rare and very desirable as a type and for the history of the California Gold Rush. This is an Original Series with charter issued between 1873 and 1875. From the W. Horton, Jr. Collection.
