This is the more available of the two national banks located here. There are 15 or so notes in the census for large size, and nearly half are Red Seals. That is in spite of the rather small number of sheets (675) printed for the type. Most are low serial numbers, but of course, this #1 is the piece everyone wants. It is a wonderful example with bright white paper and bold red ink. The signature of G.W. Gunnell, President has faded completely, as is the case with others of the type, but the pen signature of G.H.
