There were four national banks chartered in this Mesa County community and this bank even chose the county name for its title. Two of those banks issued Red Seals. This bank was chartered in 1905 and printed 3,540 sheets of $5-5-5-5 and 2,834 sheets of $10-10-10-20. This is one of four Red Seals known on the bank. The other bank has a single Red Seal as well. This note appears to be the finest known from the bank, of all issues. Great color and excellent signatures of W.P. Elan, President and G.H. McCurdy, Cashier.
