This bank, the only national bank located in this county seat, was organized in 1903. It began with a small issue of 930 Red Seal sheets and went into receivership in 1934 having issued a total of just over $400,000 during its entire 30 years in business. What remains today are four Blue Seals and two Red Seals in the census. This note was originally part of the Glenn Martin collection and later passed to Bill Gale. No large size has been offered from here since this note sold in 2006 when Gale dispersed his notes. This note has good color and fine pen signatures of W.T. Hord, President and J.E.
