One's first impression of this note is probably that it is just a rarely-seen type on one of the three common Joliet banks, but one would be very wrong in that assumption. The Citizens National Bank was actually a short-lived institution that issued just 4,800 sheets of Red Seals and 2,140 sheets of Date Backs. The note offered here is one of only two survivors from that production. The only other note known was offered just one time in 2004 through eBay. The note shows even soiling but no worn folds or major problems. The stamped signatures of Robert Pilcher, President, and W. G.
