Fr. 613 $10 1902RS
Grade:

This striking note is the only Red Seal known on the town of Carbondale, a locale that hosted three national banks. Chartered in February 1905, this institution began by issuing Red Seals, having printed 4,710 total sheets of $5, $10 and $20. The bank is on the scarce side, with nine large and 13 small notes reported. How nice that this unique Red Seal is so pretty and problem-free. With printed signatures of F.T. Jaguar, President, and L. . Harrington, Cashier. This note's last auction appearance was in 2000 when it brought $3,300. --- Jess Lipka Red Seal Collection --- Jess Lipka Red Seal Collection
