There were three national banks in this Clearfield County town to issue notes but only one issued Red Seals. This bank was chartered in 1904 and printed 4,200 sheets of $10-$10-$10-$20 Red Seals. This note is a beauty and strictly UNC with excellent pen signatures of John E. DuBois, President, and S. C. Bond, Cashier. John DuBois was a lumber magnate and the town was named for him, a great combination for a #1 note.
