Lander, First NB, 4720
Fr. 485 $10 1882BB
Grade:
Fine
Lander was home to only one national bank and it was chartered in 1892. They first issued 2,130 sheets of Brown Backs, $10-10-10-20, and this is one of four notes, three $10s and a $20, known to have survived. The best of these is a #1 $10 that is unavailable. There are 19 large notes reported all told. This is a problem free Brown Back with excellent pen signatures. This appears to be the first public offering of a $10 Brown Back in more than 25 years.
