The large red seal is rare, but the brown seal is even rarer. Even the Great Lakes Collection had only a VG that sold at $1,900 and the Rickey sale had an AU/CU graded AU-58 by PCGS. There are 17 notes reported for this excessively rare Rosecrans-Huston brown seal, only four of which are listed as UNC. This note last sold in 2001 at $35,750, ten years after we offered it originally. The AU-58 in the Rickey sale brought $23,000. Today, this Gem which is most likely the finest known, will be highly sought after. I love the quality of this beauty as the centering is very nice, but not perfect. The paper, color and quality are outstanding and original. It has square corners without any sign of wear anywhere.
