This Clay County community was home to three national banks, but only two of them issued Red Seals. The First National Bank issued 2,490 sheets of Red Seals, a mere 5% of the large-size sheets printed for this institution. There are 22 large notes in the census, but none could be more desirable than this gorgeous #1 note. Proud pen signatures of C. S. Andrews, President, and H. Stevenson, Cashier, are an added bonus.
