Carlisle hosted only one national bank, whose total issue amounted to a meager $385,900. Of that, only 750 sheets of $5-5-5-5 and 600 sheets of $10-10-10-20s were issued. Just five notes are recorded from this bank, which liquidated in 1927. Of those five, two are Red Seals but this is the only #1, as well as probably being the finest of all five. This note last appeared over 14 years ago and no examples of any type have been available publicly since then.
