This is the only Red Seal known on this bank that shows 29 other large notes in the census. This bank was the largest of the four national banks located here, and issued First Charters clear through small size, including 12,800 sheets of Red Seals. This note was last available in 1996 in our April auction, which is a long time to wait for another Red Seal to surface. An average circulated example with the number "26" penned on the face.
