This was one of two national banks in town, chartered in 1888 and liquidated in 1931. The other bank is unreported. This isn't the earliest but it is the finest note known of the 11 reported. Excellent wispy black signatures that I think are penned, but may not be. This came from our June 1995 sale where it brought $550. The DeGood note was a Fine and realized $2,185 against a $750-$1,500 estimate. The Dr. Wallace Lee Collection.
