This was Detroit's fifth chartered national bank, chartered in July 1877 and lasting only until April 1894. The bank issued $5s, $10s and $20s from 1875 and three have survived; this note is unreported. A problem free 1875 $10 that has excellent pen signatures. The only other auction record is for a $20 1875 that realized $5,462 in the DeGood sale. The Dr. Wallace Lee Collection.
