An extraordinary Ace from one of the state's rarest banks. This bank was chartered in 1872 and closed in 1891 after issuing only $1, $2 and $5 First Charters. There is one other note known; it's a $5 and in a much lower grade. This note, previously from the DeGood collection, has excellent pen signatures, but has had some restoration to the upper corners.
