This one-bank town received its bank charter in 1871 and the bank only survived until 1886. There are five notes reported. This note is a decent VG, maybe the second best. Just over 10,000 sheets were printed but on these early banks that doesn't mean much. Light signatures of D. Sheldon, President and J.C. Clarke, Cashier on this note that was previously from the DeGood collection. The Dr. Wallace Lee Collection.
