This bank was chartered in 1871 and notes have remained scarce. There are First Charters, two Brown Backs and six Blue Seal Third Charters known. This is a lovely, pen signed $5 1875, the only First Charter recorded. Excellent paper quality and color to boot. It's a real peach. The Dr. Wallace Lee Collection.
