This incredible note was last sold by Heritage in January 2007 where it was described as, "This note has recently been sold at auction a couple of times listed as Gem. Its debut was in a CAA auction in January 1998 where the description read as follows, "This magnificent Technicolor Twenty boasts a stunning array of brilliant hues on its face. Utterly unmolested and with deep original embossing, it's broadly margined all the way around. This note is the sheet-mate of the Superb Gem we sold in our September Cincinnati sale. This gorgeous note would also grade Superb were it not for a series of six minuscule gutter folds at the right side of the top margin." If it is natural surfaces you seek, look no further as this note is sure to please." Further comment by PCGS says, "Our graders concurred that these were as-made paper flaws at the top right and not cuts, nicks or tears."
