South Dakota is another better state when it comes to Red Seals. Kelly reports that just 39 Red Seals are known statewide. None of them could be considered common enough to qualify as strictly a type note, but this Aberdeen is as close as one could expect. It has enough grade to matter and is one of two Red Seals reported on this available bank. There were three other banks in town, but only two issued Red Seals, with a single note reported on one of them. A desirable South Dakota Red Seal that has no record of any public sale in the Track & Price database. The pen signatures of F.B. Gannon, President and J.H.
