$1,000 1928 I Minneapolis I-A DGS
Grade:
PCGS Very Ch. New 64
This Minneapolis $1,000, as with its $500 1928 counterpart, has the lowest production of any district in the series. As a consequence, very few pieces are offered, and of those, even less are graded uncirculated. This note last appeared at auction in early 2006 where it brought $13,800 in a CAA FUN sale. It was described there as being "considerably nicer than the Choice CU Taylor Family example". Three months later the Taylor example was re-offered and brought even more at $14,375. Now, after a three year wait, collectors have another shot at the better note. It is an opportunity not to be missed, as probably fewer than five exist in CU.
Current Bid:
$ 6,500.00
Estimate:
($ 10,000.00 - $ 20,000.00)
