This is the major city in western Iowa and it really thrived a century ago or more. There were 16 national banks chartered over the years and half remain unknown. One of those unknown banks issued Red Seals, as well as this one, which printed 5,500 sheets of $5-$5-$5-$5 and 6,600 of $10-$10-$10-$20. Only four Red Seals are reported and all are similar in grade to this one, which has excellent signatures of Al. P. Manley, President, and C. N.
