Possibly the most popular town name in Colorado, there are never enough of these to go around. This great Old West bank has only five large notes reported and this one last appeared in the Mayer Collection in 2008 at $12,075. Since that time we have sold a Brown Back at $32,200. This slightly superior example has faint signatures and a tight top. The bank did not close early, but never saw the need to issue small size. From the Frederick Mayer Collection.
