Vernon, Herring NB, S7010
Fr. 613 $10 1902RS
Grade:
VF/XF
This town had four national banks and the last two were family named. This was the only Red Seal bank, chartered in 1903, and it printed just 1,100 sheets of $10-10-10-20 Red Seals. The note is very pleasing and has excellent pen signatures, but not by Mr. Herring. Instead it was signed by H.H. Rhoads, Vice President and B.F. Allen, Cashier. This beauty came from the Everson collection, February 1997 at $2,860. Jack liked the great ones, J.L. Irish did too, but Jack wouldn't let them go. --- Jess Lipka Red Seal Collection --- Jess Lipka Red Seal Collection
