High grade examples of many of the 1882 Department Series are rare or elusive. This Napier-McClung signature combination is one of just 19 in private collections. Apparently only the James A. Stack note is possibly a higher grade. This is really a rarity from James Thompson, Herman Halpern and later to CAA. Graded XF 45PPQ by PCGS.
