$500 Bond Issued May 1st, 1861, S/N 3512 out of 1 to 3000, 3401 to 3700, and 4001 to 4200, Without Signature. Green intaglio tint on letterpress text and frames, Printed on thin red silk fiber paper, plain back, Hole-punch at top left corner. VF condition with some aging and toning, especially around margins and fold lines. Rarity 4- with 1001 to 1500 extant, c. 3500 issued. Without Imprint. Printed by Samuel Schmidt (resident manager of the ABNC branch at New Orleans). Schmidt possibly omitted the imprint to prevent the tracing of such bonds to his shop.
