Serial #1. January 1, 1863. The October 1, 1862 date was penned over in red ink. Signed by G.W. Hutchinson as Clerk. A couple of months ago we just saw a serial number 3 note, in 64 PPQ grade, sell for over $400. This note looks as much like a screaming gem as the #2 note in the next lot. It has huge margins and perfect paper.
