There were two national banks in town but only this bank issued large size notes. This is one of just four large notes recorded, with the last being offered in 2008. The purple stamped signatures are faint. The cost for this note in 1994 was $1,452. Blandinsville was laid out in 1842, named for Joseph L. Blandin, owner of the first general store.
