This was a fairly large Poughkeepsie bank, which was in business from 1865 through the small size era. A good number of large size sheets were printed in that time, but surviving specimens are shockingly few, amounting to just 7 examples. A serial number 1 $1 Original in XF was sold in 2006 for over $20,000, but the last time a large note sold for the more modest collector was in January 2004. That note is the one we offer here today. No problems save for a little dirt on the back.
