Although there is at least one other Red Seal known on this charter, only this example has ever appeared in a public sale. One appearance was in 2004, then again in 2005, and then nothing until now. In the meantime, collectors had only Brown Backs, Plain Backs and a few First Charters from which to choose. The back shows some soil, but the front is nice.
