National Bank Notes > Maine
Bath, Lincoln NB, N761
Fr. 613 $10 1902RS
Grade:
Fine
This early bank was named for Enoch Lincoln, the sixth governor of Maine and an important figure in Maine history, and not for the eponymous 16th president of the United States. It was a large bank that liquidated in 1910, and 20 of its notes are currently reported, including two Red Seals, of which this is the sole $10 example. Though the color is excellent, it is closely trimmed and the signatures are very light.
