When it comes to great town names on Nationals, Caribou has to be right up there with the best. The Kelly data lists five notes on the bank, two large and three small, but he has been unable to obtain the serial numbers on two of the small notes. This is one of those towns where rumors abound about other notes existing, but examples on the bank are so highly coveted and the collectors so secretive, it is difficult to even confirm the additional notes. This uncertainty only serves to increase the demand and price when a note does become available, which isn't often. As a matter of fact, Track & Price has yet to document a single public offering of any note on the bank from decades of data. This example shows even circulation and great margins on both sides. There is some light soiling, but it is commensurate with the grade. A pleasing note overall that anyone would be proud to own.
