NY-155 2 Pounds April 2, 1759
Grade:
PCGS Apparent Fine 15
A satisfying example of an extremely scarce denomination. PCGS notes edge splits and tears, repairs. We have only seen one or two 2 Pound notes over the years while the 5 Pound and 10 Pound notes are far more plentiful. The printing figures are misleading because it is obvious that this lowest denomination note had a survival rate next to nothing while the higher denomination notes circulated less freely. Unpriced in Newman in any grade and worthy of consideration for your advanced Colonial collection.
