National Bank Notes > Kansas
Kanorado, First NB, 11860
Fr. 1800-1 $5 1929T1
Grade:
Fine
As the combination name suggests, this tiny outpost lies barely a mile from the Colorado border. The First National Bank was chartered in 1920, but due to the miniscule population of the town, no large notes were issued. The bank finally did issue small notes, only to be liquidated in 1934. Today, specimens remain very elusive and are fought over when offered. This solid, evenly circulated note was last available in my September 1994 auction. One of seven notes on the bank.
