March 5, 1563. "The bearer, redeemable in currency when presented in sums of One Dollar and received in payment of Taxes by Jacob Ebinger, Treasurer of Carver County." Signed by Jacob Ebinger, County Treasurer. Jacob Ebinger immigrated to America from Wurtemberg, Germany in 1850, settling in Carver County, Minnesota. Scrip of this type is excessively rare for any Minnesota business and it isn't listed that I know of. No doubt it will be soon. A rare item that deserves a bidding battle. We will see.
